Awarded an MBE for his services and Sector Manager at Weymouth responsible for 4 teams covering the area of coastline from Purbeck to Abbotsbury. He has seen numerous fatalities but one humorous story was when he rescued a dog named 'Lady'. The headline next day was 'Lady bites Coastguard during rescue'.
