About Us
DORSET PICTURES has been created by Roger Holman and Roger Lane, two Dorset-based photographers who have been working together for many years.
In 1991, together with local writer Roger Guttridge, they produced their first book 'The Landscapes of Dorset', followed in 1993 by 'The Villages of Dorset'.
Roger Holman has produced further books: 'Images Of The Dorset Coast', 'Images Of Dorset Country', 'Wimborne Minster - A Portrait In Colour', and 'Dorset's Most Beautiful Buildings'. His latest book 'Dorset - The Glorious County' is available in bookshops now - see Gallery for details.
A selection of Roger's fine art prints and other locally based items are available from Bookends store in Christchurch. See Links section for details.
Roger Lane has combined his talents of writing and photography and his work has been featured in numerous magazines. Apart from photographing his home county of Dorset, Roger is currently focusing on the creation of fine art images. He is particularly interested in the landscapes of the French Impressionists and has written extensively on this subject. Roger has just finished a book featuring 'The Gardens of Dorset' to be published early 2010 by Frances Lincoln and a book featuring his images of 1960's motor racing - 'Out of the Shadows' published by Halsgrove was launched in September 2009.
Our photographs are increasingly found on the walls of business premises throughout the county. If your company wishes to increase its association with Dorset please contact us with your requirements.
